Prague International Airport

Simpleway has been the voice of Václav Havel Airport Prague since 2007, providing comprehensive communication solutions across one of Central Europe's busiest aviation hubs. Prague Airport handles over 15 million passengers annually, connecting travelers to 165 destinations worldwide through approximately 75 airlines operating across two main terminals and 55 gates.

The airport required a unified platform to deliver real-time flight information and multilingual passenger announcements across diverse touchpoints while maintaining operational efficiency. Simpleway implemented its Airport CX platform in phases, beginning with voice automation in 2007, followed by a complete Flight Information Display System in 2020, and culminating in a technological upgrade of the voice infrastructure in 2023.

Today, Prague Airport operates with over 1400 screens displaying flight information across terminals, including multi-page flight lists, gate displays, check-in counters, baggage claim belts, and staff internal displays. The visual system features impressive videowalls and a striking jumboscreen in the Departure hall, while innovative LED and LCD displays in airport buses extend passenger information beyond terminal buildings. The audio infrastructure integrates existing PA systems with nnounce hardware, creating a unified platform that coordinates multiple PA subsystems.

Prague Airport utilizes Simpleway's role-based user interfaces across Check-in UI, Gate UI, Belt UI, and Tugman UI, making it a comprehensive implementation of Simpleway products throughout the airport. The airport employs 10 professional voice libraries to deliver consistent, high-quality announcements. Preconfigured automated scenarios handle situations requiring special attention, delivering specific information to passengers on both audio and visual levels for irregular operations and emergencies. Integration with the Airport Operations Database ensures real-time data synchronization across all communication channels.

The unified audio-visual communication platform has transformed Prague Airport's operational efficiency and passenger experience. Staff benefit from streamlined processes through role-based interfaces tailored to their specific operational needs, while passengers receive synchronized information throughout their journey.
