Dubai International Airport (DXB) ranks among the world's busiest aviation hubs, serving as a major international gateway connecting continents. The airport's scale and passenger diversity demand communication systems capable of delivering clear, multilingual information across hundreds of gates simultaneously.

The airport implemented Simpleway's platform to automate boarding communications and improve passenger communication. The Automated Announcement System serves gate boarding lounges, supporting efficient boarding processes and passenger flow management. GateUI client installations at each of the 168 gates enable operators to select airlines and trigger customized pre-recorded announcements for each boarding stage, with text-to-speech capabilities delivering messages across 25 languages this  reduces manual workload for gate agents and improves announcement quality.

The system reads data feeds from the Airport Operational Database (AODB), ensuring accurate flight allocation to gates and real-time status updates that drive automated announcements. Simpleway also delivers visual paging information to the airport's Gate Information Display Systems, creating coordinated passenger communications across visual and audio channels. The platform manages prayer calls as part of the facility's cultural accommodation.

The implementation delivers measurable operational benefits. Automated announcements significantly reduce manual workload, freeing gate agents to provide direct passenger assistance during boarding. The system increases boarding process efficiency while delivering consistent multilingual communications, ensuring international passengers receive information in familiar languages throughout critical boarding phases.
