  Simpleway has been the voice of Vaclav Havel Airport Prague since 2007. Over 12 million passengers pass-through per year. Thus, the Prague Airport is one of the most important airport hubs connecting Eastern and Western Europe. Each day our system serves passengers at 60 gates in the International Terminal 2 which caters to flights within the Schengen area. The system currently uses two voice libraries, Czech and English for generic announcements. However, it can easily be extended to a significantly higher number of languages, should the airport require so. Furthermore, it integrates three separate PA subsystems to send calls between one another.

  
  

  

• Dubai (DXB and DWC) International Airport

  
  

  Dubai International Airport is one of the biggest airports in the world accounting for almost 80 million passengers transferred in 2015. So far, that has been the biggest challenge for our company to tackle. We were asked to install our integrated public announcement system (AAS) and our flight information display system (FIDS) at all 178 gates at Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and at Dubai World Central. The system currently operates all boarding screens and offers the complete list of boarding announcements to support international passengers in 25 different languages. Each screen design and language is carefully worked on and customized to meet the needs of world´s leading airlines like Emirates or Star Alliance member airlines.

  
  

  

• Jakarta LRT

  
  

  Software part implementation of new Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) together with Public Address System (PAS) and Content Management System providing the Passenger Information Management to the Operations Control Center (OCC) and Station Control Room (SCR) staff within 16 stations (3 lines) of Jakarta LRT Phase 1 project. The system provides complex management tools for both voice and display announcements, advertisement management and other contents of all connected displays. Information is distributed to the public using voice announcements including integration with Public Address (PA) system (Bosch Praesideo). Voice announcements are in sync with hundreds of displays placed around the LRT network providing the visual information about actual status of the trains departing from the station as well as other operational and advertisement announcements. Voice announcements are provided in English and Indonesian language.

  
  

  

• Vancouver International Airport

  
  

  Since 2011, travellers visiting the beautiful city of Vancouver can hear our voice at the second largest airport in Canada – Vancouver International Airport. The installed system provides flight information announcements to passengers at 100 gates, 15 kiosks, 5 baggage carousels and 5 operational client stations. Thanks to the accomplished level of integration, the unrivalled PA and voice announcement systems offer users innovative and easy-to-use features. In addition to this function, the system also integrates 12 separate PA subsystems to send calls between one another. This installation is one of the largest Bosch PA Praesideo installations in the world.  

  
  

  

• Madrid Barajas Airport

  
  

  During 2015 we deployed automated announcement system at Madrid Barajas Airport Terminal 4 in Spain. Madrid Barajas T4 with 146 gates in total is the one of the largest terminal buildings in the world. As a result, the requirements for announcement intelligibility are very high. The project was implemented to support Iberia's handling during the boarding process at gates by Spanish and English voices initially. All the announcements were customized to follow specific Iberian boarding processes at Barajas. To achieve this goal, the system was integrated into airports paging system directly at gate level. This PA integration was made with Iberian and AENA (airport) support.

  
  

  

• Sao Paulo Metro Line 4

  
  

  Simpleway delivered custom announcement system (AAS) and passenger information system (PIDS) on line 4 of Sao Paulo subway. The system was integrated with existing QSC and Harman PA hardware. The system allows operators to do content management, upload their own recordings, schedule automated recordings or perform live paging to many different zones using user friendly web based interface. In addition, Simpleway provided failover solution and designed the public announcement system to provide continuous service in case of infrastructure or connectivity problems between output devices and servers.  All equipment related to Simpleway solution is pro-actively monitored and provide early fault detection reports. Simpleway significantly improved operational efficiency and which is more important it made information delivery to passengers easy and solid.

  Simpleway provided automated announcement system at Calgary International Airport since 2014. The solution was implemented with QSC hardware, QSC Audio & a Q-Sys platform and integrated with Flight Information Display System (FIDS). The installed system provides Airline Agents, Operations and Customer Service users as well as Airport Duty Managers the way how to operate displays and canned messages in Canadian English and Canadian French. Furthermore, we have provided a text to speech library to Calgary Airport, with 25 different languages available for there use.

  Simpleway provides an automated announcement system in 12 languages for the airport and 29 airlines. The Simpleway solution aids in passenger communication through the utilization of localized languages such as Bislama, Samoan and Tongan. The announcement system supplies both the gate agents and operations with the ability to efficiently move passengers through the airport and the boarding process. This also applies to the navigation of arrival flights through the custom process. The Simpleway Application Server ties into a Bosch Public Address system for message delivery. Overall the solution increases the ability for operations and airlines to communicate with both domestic and international passengers. The automated announcements allow gate agents the freedom to assist passengers without the hassle of a microphone.

Information is distributed to the public using voice announcements including integration with Public Address (PA) system (Bosch Praesideo). Voice announcements are in sync with hundreds displays (LCD and LED) around the metro network providing the visual information about actual status of the trains departing from the station. Voice announcements are provided for Kochi Metro in 3 languages: English, Hindi and Malayalam.

• Port Authority Bus Terminal (New York)

  
  

  The Visual Information System (SimpleVUE) installation for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Bus Terminal includes both the ability to display informational messages to bus passengers as well as the ability to display bus trip information. The system provides a user with the ability to create standard terminal announcements. Through the use of the OPSUI a user can type the text of the announcement and select features such as font, font size, font color and background color. The announcement then can be scheduled to be displayed on any LED or Group of LEDs allowing the authority to get information to the passengers in the right location and in a timely manner. The system also provides an administrative user with the ability to create and manage bus schedules. The user can create a master schedule for weekdays, weekends and holidays for example. Based on the master schedule assigned for each day the system creates the daily operational schedule. The daily schedule is designed to incorporate daily operational changes such as delays, cancellations, status changes and time changes. The bus information managed in the daily schedule is displayed on the LED displays to keep passengers informed of changes to their bus trip. All information is displayed on Daktronic LED signs located throughout the terminal.

• Confins International Airport (Belo Horizonte)

  
  

  Simpleway provides a system that allows the airport to create the “Quiet Airport” environment. The only scheduled announcements playing in the terminal are government provided messages in both English and Portuguese. In addition to scheduled announcements, Simpleway is providing live announcements through the Harman DT-715 paging station. The paging station allows airport staff to make live zone based boarding and generic announcements. The paging station provides easy zone busy alerts. Live paging occurs at 20 gate locations as well as from the central operations center. The project combines the technology of both Harman and QSC to provide the best solution to create the required quiet environment as well as to provide the users with an easy-to-use announcement system. Adjacent zoning also aids in the ability to control the noise from neighboring gates so that passengers have a clear understanding of the information being delivered to the local gate area. Programmed restrictions prohibit the ability for gate agents to initiate live pages concurrently or at the same time if they are located in the adjacent gate area. Simpleway improved the quality of announcements throughout the terminal. In addition to the improvement to audio clarity, Simpleway provided a method to allow airport operations to communicate the mandated announcements to all passengers ensuring the government has an opportunity to reach all people traveling to or from the city.

  Implementation of new Public Address System (PAS) providing the Passenger Information Management to the Operations Control Centers (OCC) staff within 47 stations (4 lines) of Auckland Transport Railway network. The system provides management tools for voice announcements. Information is distributed to the public using voice announcements including integration with Public Address (PA) system (Bosch Praesideo). Automated voice announcements are triggered by the incoming data from the signaling system, manual announcements are variable and may be triggered by any of the operators. Voice announcements are provided for Auckland Transport in English.

Additionally, Simpleway provided monitoring, Fire Alarm and VOIP services for the Airport.   Simpleway’s GateUI client was installed at each of the airport’s 10 gates, giving operators the ability to choose a specific airline and have customised, pre-recorded announcements play. The Simpleway system also allows to tailor and change specific parts of the announcement, thereby further enhancing passenger flow. Victoria International Airport achieved its goal of giving a better travel experience, particularly for international travellers, and increased efficiency of gate agents, allowing them to give a more personalised boarding process. Simpleway also allowed gate agents to manage display content and visual paging.

  Software part implementation of new Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) together with Public Address System (PAS) providing the Passenger Information Management to the Operations Control Center (OCC) and Station Control Room (SCR) staff within 8 stations (1 line)  of Lucknow Metro  Phase 1 project (total stations within whole project is 22). The possibility to change variable parts in each pre-recorded announcement provides the possibility to trigger relevant announcement according to the actual situation. Information is distributed to the public using voice announcements including integration with Public Address (PA) system (Bosch Praesideo). Voice announcements are in sync with hundreds of displays around the metro network providing the visual information about actual status of the trains departing from the station. Voice announcements are provided for Lucknow Metro in 2 languages: English and Hindi. As a data input, SimpleWay system reads data feed from Alstom Signaling system TC&S which provides the data through Automated Train Supervision system (ATS) over the Modbus protocol. SimpleVOX and SimpleVUE modules provide very similar functionality required by the Employer within Jakarta project including Automated and manual voice announcements synchronized with display information, live calls, recorded calls, scheduled calls, integrated with Bosch Praesideo PA system as well as live data integration with Alstom ATS system.

For such a purpose a Voice library is delivered by Simpleway in 8 languages and customized for the major airlines with their own announcement scripts. For the audio interfaces, during the implementation project Simpleway System was integrated with the Praesideo system by Bosch and lately have been refurbished with Biamp Vocia PA. No reinstallation of the Simpleway System was required, only reconfiguration assured connection to the new PA system.   Simpleway company provides captive portal for passengers connected to metro’s WIFI network. This portal either allows the passengers to enter broader network or access up to date information related to metro operation such as closures of traffic, train information etc. In addition Simpleway developed user friendly interface for Prague public transit company associates to provide passengers with fresh updates easily. System is also integrated to legacy RSS feed provided and broadly supported by Prague Public Transit Company. Simpleway significantly improved the information delivery flow from Prague Public Transit Company to end passengers. Improved the customer services by providing internet access and traffic updates in five metro stops.

  
  

  

• California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport

  
  

  Simpleway provides a Flight Information Display System for Public Arrival and Public Departures. In order to keep the cost of operation to a minimal, the solution was deployed in the Simpleway Cloud environment. In addition to flight information a portion of the screen was designed to allow the airport to display airport facts, jokes and travel information through visual messaging. The Simpleway SimpleVUE solution provided the airport with a cost-effective way to display flight information to the public, enhancing the passenger experience. In addition, the airport gained another avenue to communicate with the passengers making travel easier with a little bit of fun.

The airport is able to upload the required TSA messages as well as utilize local celebrities to generate basic airport announcements. Simplebox is versatile PA system with limited functionality comparing to UPIS software but very suitable for small airports. Simplebox covers announcements in these 2 airports in two languages – Arabic and English.
