Simpleway has been the voice of Vaclav Havel Airport Prague since 2007. Simpleway provides automatic announcements to passengers across both terminals of Prague Airport, most importantly at 55 gates where airport staff uses the special features of our system’s Gate User Interface to control the whole boarding process in much more efficient way. The airport currently uses 8 Simpleway voice libraries, namely Czech, English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Russian and Spanish. Furthermore, it integrates 3 separate PA subsystems to send calls between one another.
Since 2021, Simpleway provides also a FIDS content management system for passengers to access flight information on multi-page flight lists, gate and checkin displays as well as belts. The system is also used on staff displays. With one audio and visual communication platform, Prague can benefit of one synchronized solution.
Prague International has also utilised our mobile application platform to benefit both passengers and nearby businesses. By subscribing to an application via a smartphone, passengers can access real-time information regarding their flights. Drawing on information from the Airport Operations Database (AODB), and fully integrated with GateUI and CheckinUI, passengers receive information on their language in a convenient and personalised manner. Businesses can benefit from this system too, giving them an excellent direct marketing tool to advertise, provide shop location and details about discounts, and more.
